I started getting into local food during my chef training at George Brown College, where I became more interested in where food comes from and how it relates to our health and the environment. When I moved to BC to study holistic nutrition at Pacific Rim College that’s when it really struck me how our food system is related to so many health & environmental concerns today. Over the last 6 years I’ve had the privilege of working and volunteering on over 10 small organic farms across Canada and finally I get to start my own with my best friend and life partner. I always knew my purpose in life was to create positive change and right now I believe that my small part is providing fresh, clean, nutritious vegetables. Whether you are a person, pet, family, store or chef, I cant wait to be your farmer!

I first became interested in small scale organic farming while WWOOFing ( WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms) around Vancouver Island in 2011. Since then, I have spent lots of time on multiple farms and market gardens across BC and Ontario, learning from many successful growers. I was educated through Gaia College, where I gained knowledge about growing food ecologically and sustainably. I also started to educate myself about the food system, where most of our food comes from and how it is grown. Food security is becoming a bigger issue with climate change and locally grown food can be part of the solution. I feel everyone should have access to healthy fresh food that is grown free from chemical pesticides. But also, I just love growing food and am excited to offer what we grow.
